In our optometric office, we strongly feel it is important that everyone have ANNUAL eye examinations, especially CHILDREN.

Dr. Shimada is a WONDERFUL Pediatric Optometrist ! She is a GREAT Children’s Eye Doctor ! You can tell she LOVES children as soon as you walk in our door. Many of our parents say Dr. Shimada gives the BEST eye exam their children have ever had.

Dr. Shimada is able to check the vision of children as young as one or two years of age. . . and can see infants as young as six months old. Not only does Dr. Shimada like “playing eyecare games” with children, she rewards them with a special prize after their eye exam is done!  We have a children’s corner filled with toys, books, and movies designed to keep your child happy and occupied.

Our office also strongly believes in the value of education, and each year, Dr. Shimada sponsors several student class field trips from schools in the local La Habra School District to her optometry office for an informative and fun “hands-on” vision presentation.

Dr. Shimada encourages her students to maintain good grades by offering them a special prize if they receive at least one “A” on their report card . . . not only that, but they will be listed on Dr. Shimada’s “Star Student Bulletin” in honor of their AWESOME academic accomplishments!!

As one little patient said, “I LIKE Dr. Shimada, she is nice and plays games. She is a nice kid’s eye doctor!”
